Evaluation of the Current Situation of Foster Care for a Transitional Period from the Point of View of the Staff of the South Bohemian Region's Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children

The topic of this master's thesis is the evaluation of the current situation of foster care for a transitional period from the viewpoint of the staff of the Authority for Social-Legal Protection of Children in the South Bohemian Region. The content of the master's thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the first chapter of theoretical part, the primary attention is given to the problem of the endangered child, because social and legal protection is aimed at endangered children, to whom the next theoretical chapter devoted to. The third chapter of the theoretical issue is focused on the care provided by the substitute family, with the greatest interest being narrowed down to foster care for a temporary period. The last chapter of the theoretical part is directed to the current legislative changes, which underline the entire issue. In connection with the aim of the work and theoretical findings, the main research question was set: How do the Authority for Social-Legal Protection of Children workers evaluate the current situation of temporary foster care?
